Panels
On hundreds of panels around the island of Ireland, I’ve covered all kinds of subjects from trail blazing monks and misunderstood Vikings to the land that inspired Narnia.
The Story of Dublin
Vikings and Normans, the medieval city, days of empire, revolutionaries, the Easer Rising and Independence. I researched and wrote many panels telling the story of Dublin dotted around the city.
A Tandem Design project.

Lough Neagh
A unique five council collaboration, this wide-ranging project was commissioned to highlight the history, heritage and natural world at 40 key locations around Lough Neagh. I researched and wrote these panels, working with experts in the various areas from Lough Neagh Partnership.
An Image Zoo project.
Nendrum/Grey Abbey
A new visitor centre at this atmospheric site in Strangford Lough tells the story of this ancient monastery, founded by a disciple of Saint Patrick, and their remarkable, recently discovered water-driven mill, a world leader back in the 8th and 9th centuries! I collaborated with the Northern Ireland Environmental Agency and Tandem design in creating eight panels for this exhibition and 20 panels for the new Grey Abbey and Nendrum (outdoor) exhibitions.
A Tandem Design project for NIEA.

Carrickfergus Timeline
From King Fergus, who gave his name to the town, via terrible sieges, cannibals at the castle, Jonathan Swift, French and American invaders, King William and so much more – I researched and wrote this timeline (a series of panels) for Carrckfergus’s Market Square.
A Circle Communications project for Carrickfergus Borough Council
Clones
From Saints and scholars, to Gaelic chieftains, wee abbeys, beautiful lace and fine linen, I wrote several panels exploring the history of Clones town in Monaghan for Image Zoo and Monaghan Council.
